Mr TS Eliot had April down as the cruellest month. The point at which life returns and this whole mad venture begins anew. We wouldn’t be so bold, although we would venture that, somehow, 2024 feels like it only just got started and yet we’re already a third of the way in. And really there is no let-up from the perpetual cycle of menswear – we’re here all year, after all. However, there is a sense that, from this moment on, things ramp up. Big coats are peeled off and pops of colour appear in concert with the early blooms. April is when we remember that getting dressed is about more than outerwear.
