Hotels are ripe for visual storytelling – a labyrinth of hallways, swimming pools, minimalist or ornately decorated rooms. A stage for our characters as they find solace, fall in love, or come to terms with something in their lives away from home. Every resident is a guest, each bringing their own story – as well as their luggage – with them. And there’s a sense that anything can happen. And where most film sets are dismantled as soon as the director calls wrap, hotels live on long after the fact, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the movie magic.
