Not to play favourites, but September is by far the best month to be a fashion person. (“The January of fashion,” as one 2000s fashion editor famously purred.) OK, yes, part of us is already pining for the balmy, carefree days of summer, which seemed to shuttle past faster than ever this year. With autumn, however, comes the arrival of all the new collections and, better yet, the just-right conditions to shroud ourselves in the most beautiful coats, scarves and sweaters. Most importantly, however, September marks Show Season, which sees all the best-dressed stars in the world congregating on the fashion capitals and providing us endless outfit inspiration in the process. Of the multitudes who showed up – and showed out – on the front row, at the parties and at the after-parties this time around, these seven particularly snazzy dressers won our ultimate seal of approval.
