If the A-listers are anything to go by, change is afoot in the world of menswear this summer. Typically a season that ushers in bright hues and look-at-me prints – and encourages the more sartorially timid among us to shimmy out of our comfort zones – this time around it appears to have inspired a more mellow mood altogether. Take a quick scan of all the best-dressed attendees at this month’s blockbuster menswear shows and you’ll find not the splashy Hawaiian shirts and tie-dye tees that one might expect in the midst of a heatwave, but rather chocolate browns, elegant off-whites and – that most summery of shades – black. Those with more maximalist tastes will find little to steal this month, admittedly, but if you’re the sort who practically salivates at the thought of oatmeal-coloured cashmere and luxurious tailoring, then allow these seven immaculately clad men to be your guiding stars for the sunny days ahead.
