When it first emerged back in 2020, the craftcore trend – a resurgence in the popularity of handmade, small-batch clothing – was seen as a response to the social, political and economical uncertainty triggered by a global pandemic. Back then, we wrote of “a generation defying our digital age by reconnecting with the slowness of making”. But if the pandemic is now a thing of the past, craftcore has shown no signs of slacking off.
